- Exploring Opportunities: The Graduation Student Association of Kyung Hee University
A new semester has begun and while it marks the last semester for some, it is also the beginning of a new journey for others.
Congratulations on your admission and I hope you enjoy your student life to the fullest. However, it can be challenging to adjust to a new culture and make new friends when studying in another country.
While universities offer lots of club activities, it can be difficult for graduate students to participate. But don't worry, the Graduate Students' Association at Kyung Hee University has got you covered!
To stay updated on the latest events organized by the association, follow their Instagram page (khugs_khu) or carefully read your emails as they send out a lot of information. The association organizes a variety of activities, including global networking events that provide a platform for communication and information exchange among graduate students. These events help students adapt to life in Korea and improve their academic skills while promoting cultural exchange.
If you're interested in art-related activities, you'll love their culture and arts support project. The project provides graduate students at Kyung Hee University with the opportunity to experience cultural activities. The project runs for four days in the first semester of the 2024 school year, with four experiential activities per semester. The aim is to exchange diverse cultural information and create a cultural world taught by Kyung Hee University.
Lastly, the association also organizes activities in and outside of Seoul to experience the real Korean culture. These activities include the Korean Camping Culture Experience, a one-day meditation class, a day at Lotte World Attraction Park, a visit to the Hi-K Ground, and a day at a water park. Students who have participated in these activities have left positive reviews.
Mei: “During the program, there were four times that we met during the semester. We visited cultural places, such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, and also experienced water sports activities outside of Seoul.
