- 🪵🍀 To Study & Snooze: Café Picks around Inha University!
It’s nearing midterms season and, past the spontaneous weekends at Seoul, there’s a feeling of needing to lock in!
On that note, I’ve gathered several study spots I found to be most convenient for the note-taking grind~
I’ll order them starting from the coziest places for light studying and chit-chat breaks– then end with places I find most effective for review marathons.
1. Mahogany
Background Noise: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Seat Comfortability: ☁️☁️☁️

Mahogany is a cafe very conveniently located inside our campus! It is near the Biryong Plaza, and I can say it’s one of the prettiest around here. The walls are windows; and I’m a huge fan of sunlit places– finishing your assignments as golden light brims the table, it feels like a movie scene!
You also have a view of the campus, and there are people coming in to chat as well, so it’s not a very intensive study area– not much silence. I would thus suggest to only come here when you’re having a sudden urge to have a light review of your courses; not when you have urgent projects to finish in one day!
2. Gong Cha
Background Noise: ⭐️⭐️
Seat Comfortability: ☁️☁️☁️☁️

At second place on the cozy ranks is Gong Cha! It is located at the Inha Culture Street (Backgate), and the interior is much warmer. Not much windows, many sofa seats, and yellow-tinted lamps surround the entire cafe. It feels like those cafes owned by grandmas who love cats (well, this Gong Cha isn’t but)-- Does that make sense?

Also, if you sit on the sofa seats– they are almost too comfortable and I’m urged to take breaks every 1 to 2 hours (may be a good or bad thing, depending on how near the deadlines of your assignments are). I am, in fact, currently in Gong Cha right now as I’m writing this article!
3. Unhip Coffee
Background Noise: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Seat Comfortability: ☁️☁️

This is a cafe I randomly spotted on Naver Map at the Culture Street– and it has one of the best Iced Chocolates I have ever tasted. Of all the times I’ve been here, Iced Chocolate has been my go-to. The cafe playlist is also really nice, and the interior decor is very fit to the white aesthetic.
