About The Catholic University of Korea
The Catholic University of Korea, operated by the Archdiocese of Seoul, was founded in 1855, making it the second-oldest higher education institution in Korea. The university is divided into three campuses. Seongsim campus, located in Bucheon, Gyonggi, is where most faculties are located, while Songsin Theological Campus is in Jongno district, central Seoul. Songeui Medical Campus is located alongside Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital in Seocho district, southern Seoul and is one of the top five medical schools in Korea. Religious classes are not compulsory at the university, but it famously holds its matriculation ceremonies at Myungdong Cathedral in central Seoul.
