Woori Bank has announced Woori WON Global, a new online banking app for international customers. The app is available in 17 different languages, the company said Thursday.

Users will be able to check their bank balance and make transfers to Korean and overseas bank accounts.

Customers can also apply for departure guarantee insurance, which issues severance pay to foreign employees when they leave Korea, and delivery tracking service for residence cards.

The app is available in Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Mongolian, Thai, Indonesian, Russian, Cambodian, Filipino, Uzbek, Sinhala, Bengali, Urdu, Nepali and Burmese.

“The number of foreigners in Korea is increasing, and we launched the Woori WON Global app so foreign customers can conveniently use banking services in their native languages,” a spokesperson for Woori Bank said. “We will try our best so that Woori WON Global can become the most easy and fast mobile banking service for foreigners.”
