So here's another virtual sit-down with the ASAPEC team to get to know more about them.☕

Jandi🌱 Hello, ASAPEC! Please give us an introduction of yourself!
ASAPEC💬 ASAPEC Peruvian-Korean Academic Association (페루-한국 한술 협회) is an academic organization of students and professionals who have studied and are currently studying in South Korea. We promote and conduct cooperative activities between Peruvian and Korean institutions and individuals, and also aim to disseminate scientific, social, environmental, technological, and humanistic research, showcasing study opportunities in South Korea undertaken by compatriots and others. ASAPEC was established in 2021 and is supported by the Peruvian Embassy in South Korea.
Our association provides a familiar cultural environment where you can connect with peers, navigate challenges together and more. We offer career networking throughout our activities, the opportunity to socialize and participate in cultural and recreational events.
🌱Could you share some of your main activities with us?

💬 Our main activities are mostly research meetings, volunteering and seminars. Research meetings we’ve had before are meetings with the Peruvian researchers in Korea and Peru (at 2022 and 2024) and meeting Peruvian students in Korea. We also took part in volunteering in cultural festivals and concerts across different regions like Daejeon and Seoul.
Seminars are a highlight of our activities, so here’s a list of what we cover from our seminars:
- Scholarships
- Topik
- Volunteering
- First International Job and Seminar
- Online-Offline Preorientation New Peruvian Scholars
We also arrange day-trips, regional meetings and gatherings like a one-day trip to Nami Island, the party students meeting up with the Peruvian Embassy and meetings in different cities of Korea like Busan.
