- The hottest winter Korean snack!
Hello everyone, Nefeliš here again!
It's gotten really cold lately so I decided it's time I talked about my favorite winter Korean snack that never fails to warm me up!
I've always been a salty snack fan as well as a dough fan so naturally Jjinppang (ģ°ė¹µ) also known as Hoppang (ķøė¹µ) ended up becoming my go to winter snack here in Korea.
So what is a Jjinppang/Hoppang?

Jjinppang or Hoppang is actually a very popular Korean winter snack that consists of a soft, steamed bun that is filled with either sweet or savory fillings.
It originated in Korea as a localized adaptation of Chinese baozi and has become a staple winter snack.
It is also associated with nostalgia, as itās a snack that many Koreans grew up enjoying during winter.
The most traditional version is filled with sweet red bean paste, but other variations are filled with vegetables, pizza-flavor or my personal favorite, meat!
