Gyeongsang National University is located in Jinju, South Gyeongsang, about a four-hour drive southeast of Seoul. Established in 1948, it merged with Gyeongnam National University of Science and Technology in 2021 and is among the country’s 10 so-called flagship national universities, the only such university in the South Gyeongsang region. The university has four campuses — three in Jinju and one each in Tongyeong and Changwon.
