The University of Seoul is the only four-year public university in Korea that’s funded by a local government office. Established in 1918 and financially backed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the University of Seoul is located in Dongdaemun District, eastern Seoul, and boasts one of the cheapest tuitions among top-tier universities in the country. The school is particularly famous for courses in urban planning and taxation.
