- What to expect at the Global Talent Fair: 2024 K-campus edition
Hey Kampers!
This is Jandi, who will walk you through the two days last week at COEX for the Global Talent Fair! π
Whether you visited or not, if you want a glimpse into how large career fairs work in Korea, as well as some interesting insights we came up with through our Buddy Walk session, here's what you can refer to!
First, here's an agenda to what this review will cover:
1. What the Global Talent Fair is
2. What K-campus did at the fair
3. What the fair offers and how you should prepare for the fair
Then let's get started!
1. What is the Global Talent Fair? π

The Global Talent Fair is an annual career fair hosted by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra), one of the biggest job fairs for international talents in Korea. It takes place mostly in Coex in Gangnam District and is held for two days in the summer.
This year, there were 400 companies attending the fair, out of which around a quarter were running booths for international recruitment. In other words, the fair is a mix of many global companies that are seeking for Koreans to work in international branches and Korean companies looking to hire foreigners.
[μΈκ΅μΈν¬μκΈ°μ μ±μ© section was for Korean students seeking jobs at international companies, and μΈκ΅μΈμ νμ μ±μ© section was for international students wanting to work in Korea.]
To join the fair, you can either register online through its official website or even sign up for on-site registration at the convention hall, but pre-registration is recommended as there are so many more things you can check out if you do.
2. What K-campus did at the job fair π£οΈπ
Is K-campus hiring? Nope, we aren't looking for new employees at the moment, but we were looking forward to connect with new Kampers as well as meet the already-loyal Kampers too! We had a K-campus board to show what we wanted to introduce to you guys.

We also created and gave out leaflets with QR codes for different events we're running and valuable content for newbies!

We ran a K-campus Talent Pool to which anyone interested in getting notifications for curated job openings and events could enter their information!
Once the visitors signed up to our Talent Pool, they could join our small lucky draw event to try their luck. We had our brand new Jandi key rings, Jandi T-shirts, snacks and drinks to give out to the winners.
That wasn't all! If you follow us on Instagram, you may have seen that we were running a touring program "Buddy Walk" to help any Kampers who were shy or lacked knowledge on how to navigate the job fair.
Here's what we shared during our Buddy Walk!π£

π Brief introduction to the major companies like Amorepacific, Kia, Hansae and Samyang Roundsquare and also startups that Kampers showed interest earlier through the registration form (e.g. Hirediversity, Styleseller, Kowork and more)
π The respective company's hiring status (e.g. XXX company was hiring interns only, while some others were seeking full-time employees) and hiring divisions
π Conversations on concerns the Buddy Walkers had during their job-searching journey (e.g. How to write a resume in Korean)
We hope those who joined us for the Buddy Walk found the thirty-minute session helpful!
Now, let's address the in-depth inquiries brought up during the two days!
