Living in a small town in Korea can be challenging on different levels. But it gets even harder when you're looking for part time jobs as an international student, especially if you want to do it legally. Restaurant and tutoring jobs are available all year round, however jobs that can boost your resume are hard to come by. Today, I'll be sharing one of my favorite part-time jobs that I've experienced in Korea, specifically in the city of Chuncheon as an international student.

Once a year, the Chuncheon City Hall recruits Honorary Reporters. All foreigners are welcome to apply and they pick 30 individuals to work with them for a full year. The conditions include being multilingual and residence within the city hall for the upcoming 12 months, which are rather simple in comparison to the perks offered by the job.

Besides creating social media content to promote the city and showing what it's like to live in it, we are also invited to join various international and national events. Some of the ones I've joined are 'Ciao! Italia', Song Heungmin International Soccer Academy, Chuncheon Global Camp and Chuncheon International Children's Drawing contest, to name a few.
