<Media, Culture, and Society> is a course that aims on exploring the role of public media in our society and culture. This course is PBL (Problem Based Lecture) course, which means the class objective is to solve the problem that professor provides. Most of the course resources are presentation, discussion, and case study.

For each semester, a problematic situation is presented as a module, and the students have to solve that problem with their group members. The detailed information about the module might change depending on the issues of the year, but they are mainly about public media like newspaper and public service broadcasting.

This year, our first group project was to suggest solution of the "disinformation" issues in Korea, and make a presentation as if we are minister of the department presenting in front of the president. The overall form of the second project was similar with the first one, but it was about the public broadcasting center KBS. The students presented a reform plan of Korea's public broadcasting center in a lecture form.
