- From Kalguksu to Pasta: Eating Out Made Easy for Donggukins and Their Squad
Hi, Kampers! This time, we're talking food! Fun, isn’t it? So, sit closer! :)
As a Dongguk University student, I've thought of a few eateries that fellow Donggukins might also like. I don’t eat out much myself, but I enjoy dining with my groupmates from time to time. I’ve put together a list of diners that are both affordable (less than or equal to 10,000 krw) and offer a good atmosphere.
I’m excited to share five different small restaurants with you, Kampers! Trust me, I’ve personally been to all of these spots, and I even visited two of them specifically for this blog post. Now, I’ll leave the appreciation of my 'hard work' (I mean, I literally just ate good food—what am I even bragging about? :D) in your hands. Let’s dive into my food talk without further ado!
P.S. All the pictures used in this review post were taken by me using a Canon G7X Mark III.
1.Be Kind Banh Mi
Be Kind Banh Mi offers an amazing selection of banh mi options, and I chose the Spicy Chicken Banh Mi. All menu items are under 10,000 KRW, and it definitely exceeded my expectations—it tasted absolutely incredible. The restaurant is open from 11:30 to 20:00 every day except Sunday. However, there is a break time from 15:00 to 17:00 each day.
The distance from Be Kind Banh Mi to Euljiro 3-ga Station is only 152 meters. It is also located very close to Chungmuro Station; it took me only 5 minutes to reach Chungmuro Station from Be Kind Banh Mi.

2.Muromance
Now, this is probably my favorite of them all! I loved cooking pasta back home, but I loved eating it even more. :) Unfortunately, I haven’t had pasta very often since coming to Korea for several reasons, including some food restrictions I have. However, I now have a favorite pasta place to go to without a second thought. My groupmate, who also happens to be a good friend, recommended Muromance to me (she was the one who recommended Be Kind Banh Mi too), and I absolutely loved it.

Not only was the food premium in terms of taste, but the young lady who owns the restaurant was also extremely kind. Compared to other pasta places I’ve been to, I can say that Muromance was the best in both budget-friendliness and taste.
Pasta prices range between 9,500 and 12,000 KRW, which is quite affordable for the quality. I ordered the Chicken Cream pasta, which cost 10,000 KRW, and my friend had the Hot Spicy Tomato pasta for 9,500 KRW. We both loved our meals. It was one of the best meals I’ve had lately. The working hours at Muromance are not clearly displayed on Naver Map, so be sure to check the app before you go to see if the restaurant is open that day.
3. Chungmu Kalguksu
Any Kalguksu lovers here? :)
I went to Chungmu Kalguksu for lunch with the HARAM members, a university club for learning Korean at Dongguk University. I mentioned this club in my very first review post on K-Campus, so be sure to check that out if you’re planning to study at Dongguk University and are looking for university clubs to join :)
