Anyone with even a passing interest in Korea is likely familiar with the country's renowned fruit sojus. These delicious liquors, often infused with a variety of fruits, have gained significant popularity.

But beyond soju, there are many other exceptional liquors produced in Korea that are just as delightful.

Today’s review will introduce you to some of the most trendy and tasty Korean liquors — perfect for those who might not be regular alcohol drinkers, but still want to explore the flavors Korea has to offer.

1.        Soonhari Lemon Jin (순하리 레몬진)

Soonhari Lemon Jin is a carbonated fruit liquor introduced by Lotte Liquor. The "Jin" in its name is not referring to the liquor Gin, but to the Chinese character that represents the essence or juice of lemon.

Lemon Jin is available in three varieties: Regular with 4.5% alcohol, strong (black can) with 7%, and zero (silver can) with 9% and no added sugar.

With its sharp sourness and vibrant lemon flavor, it’s reminiscent of lemonade. If you enjoy sweet liquors like a highball, Lemon Jin is definitely worth trying.

2.  Starlight Chungha Sparkling (스파클링 청하)

Starlight Chungha Sparkling is a refreshing alcoholic beverage that combines the sweetness of white wine with a sparkling.

If you're looking for a light buzz on a night out, this drink is a great choice. It pairs perfectly with spicy and grilled Korean dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The finish is clean and crisp, with no lingering bitterness.

However, don’t be deceived by its sweetness. With an alcohol content of 7%, it’s easy to underestimate its strength.

Drink too quickly because of its sweet taste, and you may find yourself unexpectedly tipsy.
