As the weather finally begins to warm up, outdoor activities become more appealing.

We can’t afford to stay indoor and let the short spring pass by unnoticed, so today’s review highlights some exciting and unique festivals to enjoy during this fleeting season.

Jeju International Improvised Dance Festival

If you live in or plan to visit Jeju Island from May 12 to May 15, you are in luck! The Jeju International Improvised Dance Festival will be held at the Jeju Olle Trail and Jeju Stone Park, allowing visitors to witness carefree moves by performers while also having a chance to be part of it.

Divided into two sections — ecological improvised performance and community improvised performance — this festival offers a variety of impromptu dance performances. Each performance will last around eight minutes.

If you are a dancer or part of a dance group, apply to perform at the festival. Applicants are open until March 16. Participants will receive accommodation and a small payment for their performances.

Holi Hai Festival

Who says India’s iconic festivals can only be celebrated in the country?

The Holi Hai Festival, inspired by India’s famous spring festival, will take place at Chuncheon on March 16 near water park located in front of Chuncheon Bears Hotel.

Hosted by Indians In Korea, the event invites participants to spread colorful powders, covering themselves in vibrant hues, and dance together, embracing the spirit of love and peace. The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you want to immerse yourself in color and dance freely, this is the place to be!
