- My Experience Applying to Woosong University (Endicott College)
Applying to my university as an international student was a detailed process that required careful planning and patience. My situation was different from most because I was a first-year, first-semester student at another university in Finland during the application period.
Since I was applying for a bachelor's program and had limited time to prepare, I used an agency from my country to assist me with the application process. They helped submit my documents to the school, while I ensured I met all the requirements and prepared the necessary documents.
Here is a step-by-step breakdown of my experience:
Step 1: Online Application Submission 🖥❗️
The first step was filling out the online application form. To submit your application, you’ll need to create an account on the university’s website, which can be found on the application page.

Required Documents:
1. Proof of English Proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL).
2. Copy of passport (photo page).
3. Copy of both parents' passports, or national identification cards if unavailable (photo page).
4. Copy of birth certificate or family certificate. Proof of finances – a bank statement showing 16,000 USD in your account.
5. Copy of school transcripts.
6. Copy of diploma/degree certificate.
7. One Letter of Recommendation.
8. Application fee of 50 USD
For me, I also had to write an essay explaining why I chose the university. In addition, I had to submit my GED apostilled documents and my transcript from my previous university in Finland.
Once I submitted everything through the agency, I had to wait for document verification; the waiting duration depends on the university's workload.
GED Certification
Since I completed high school through the GED program, I needed to get my GED documents apostilled in the U.S. before submitting them to the university. This process involved:
- Requesting official GED transcripts and my diploma from the testing center.
- Sending the documents to the U.S. Department of State for apostille certification.
- Waiting for them to be processed and mailed back.
- Submitting the apostilled documents to the university.
