- Journey from rejection to acceptance in Chung-Ang University

Hey, greetings! to all current and to be students and everyone I'm student in Chung-Ang University in Global MBA department.
My journey to apply to the Chung-Ang University's Master's in Global MBA program was a mix of excitement and challenges. Honestly applying for uiversities in abroad it's not an easy task it's challenging yet a rewarding experience.
It all started with countless hours even almost a year browsing their official website, particularly the Faculty of Chungang graduate school of Business the Department of Global MBA pages. I was literally glued to the program description, faculty profiles, and research areas. I even stumbled upon different student blogs in YouTube, where I barely have find some videos with their experiences – but somehow I took the risk and said myself " I need to do it for sake of me ".
The application process was primarily online through the university's portal and was pretty straightforward. It was well-organized, and I had no technical glitches so far I remember. But gathering all the documents? That was a real challenge! Not so aware about other countries but in India it takes a lot of time to arrange all documents and I literally had to request to request for my official transcripts from my undergraduate university in India, it took a little longer than normal due the covid pandemic too. Then coming about the IELTS test, TOPIK test thankfully, I did my courses in English language and also took sejong level tests until Intermediate so I didn't needed to prepare about these, honestly the way wasn't that easy too. Then preparing my statement of purpose was the most time-consuming I spent months. I wanted to showcase my passion as a finance professional and my working experiences with the program's focus on Finance and Auditing. I must have rewritten and corrected those a dozen of times.
The biggest hurdle? Definitely getting Visa after acceptance. The embassy had strict requirements for documents, and I had to arrange the document where I'll live and sponsorship letters. After these all there were a long wait times to get my visa finally.
Financially, it was challenging for me a little in starting. Then I researched scholarships by myself as I wasn't well aware about the things perfectly. I also had to figure out the estimated cost of living in Seoul at first before arriving, which seemed way higher than India!
