If you are looking for a club in which students - regardless of nationality - come together and produce creative contents, The Yonsei Annals is undoubtedly an ideal one! All Yonseians, including exchange students, are more than welcomed to be part of the team.

Brief Introduction about The Yonsei Annals

To briefly introduce, The Yonsei Annals is Yonsei’s official English press, consisting of TWO departments:

- Magazine Team: made up of Reporters and Editors to publish articles based on multiple aspects of campus, daily life, and society.

- Contents Team: made up of Video Producers and Editors to produce contents for online platforms such as Tiktok, Youtube, Instagram Reels.

My Experience as an Annals Staff

I was part of the Contents Team, where I met many like-minded clubmates who were also passionate about producing and planning videos. As a Video Producer, I was responsible for brainstorming video ideas, writing production plans (when-how-where videos would be filmed), completing post-production tasks, and designing card news for Magazine Team.

Working in pairs with other editors to make videos was a lot of fun! - I learned a lot from my peers as they helped me with the idea brainstorming process. I began to work better under pressure, balance between studying and Annals’ workload, while learning how to collaborate in the most efficient way with other Editors!

My most favorite part of the video-producing process was Peer Feedback - where Producers and Editors received comments and suggestions from others. To me, this was an effective stage for both quality improvement since we could all see how our videos were objectively evaluated. Personal improvement was also remarkable as I became increasingly open to constructive feedback and used it to refine my work. Hearing different perspectives helped me identify strengths and weaknesses in my videos that I might have overlooked.
