Founded in 1906, Sookmyung Women’s University is among Korea’s seven four-year women’s comprehensive universities and arguably one of the two most reputable. The private university is the only four-year university in Yongsan District, central Seoul, located near the N Seoul Tower, Seoul Station and Itaewon. Under the slogan “Gentle Power to Change the World,” Sookmyung Women’s University has prided itself on going to great lengths to promote women’s empowerment and encouraging its students to broaden their perspectives through global experiences, such as partaking in foreign exchange programs and internships.
